I know they are good weapons and this I don't mind.
I pose this question because I was just in a match, and was killed in my Standard Heavy Suit in about .5 seconds from full HP. I was laying dead on the floor before my HP bars even started to drop.
I have my Shield Upgrade and Armor Upgrade Skills to lvl 5, and was using 1 complex plate for HP buffer.
While I understand it is a powerful weapon, is it really that powerful? It doesn't seem like it should be able to drop me this quickly.
Was this simply due to lag? It didn't seem like I was having difficulties in this regard. Input command was on time, and my framerate was fine.
You probably think I'm just QQing.
EDIT: The person was using a CRW-04 Scrambler Rifle
Your shields evaporate with scrambler fire. What probably happened is you got hit with the charge and all follow up shots which will drop ppl like this if you are running complex dmg mods.
It doesn't surprise me that people would use modded controllers with SCR and we know there are a lot of them out there from the TAC AR days. |

Back in this thread.
I'm no stranger to SCR encounters, fought vs many and even play one on an alt.
Something's different now w/ the SCR.
Getting dropped with no charge shot in less than 1 sec w. 502 shields / 323 armor.

As far as rifles go it has the highest potential DPS exept for a heated laser rifle in its sweet spot. It is also the second hardest rifle to use, except for the Laser Rifle. Do you see the pattern?
You're really good with it. What's your loadout?
One more thing, for curiosity's sake are you kb/m and do you left click or wheel? |

Ive only seen an uprise in Scrambler use after i came back out of retirement, during the first week i saw very little scramblers on the field, now i am starting to see allot more of them. tough with all Scrambler Rifle skills at V + KBM + 3x complex Damage Mod = Heavy dead in less then a 0.5 seconds, this is because we lead with a headshot charged shot coupled with 3-4 rapid fire blasts right behind it. Before you QQ: This weapon has been deemed the most balanced weapon since it came out and you didnt see it a whole lot, because most people can't aim for the life of it, tending to overheat it too much or outright kill themselves with it... It does become quite deadly in the hands of people who had 20+ years of FPS experience, but we could just grab the AR with 3 damage mods and be even more deadly.
That's cool man I have 20 years too, I can't remember my first headshot tho, I think it was on Oregon Trail.

One more thing, for curiosity's sake are you kb/m and do you left click or wheel? My loadouts typically have 1 damage mod, 2 shield extenders and more armor repairers than plates. I try to run ADV equipment if i can. I use an SMG if I have the power grid for it but I can settle for a flaylock. I use a DS3.
Well I gotta give you props, you are brutal with that thing. |

A single instance could be anything. If you experience that, say, twenty times THEN you have a case.
You don't think this heavy has enough experience to know when something's off? They sponge damage as a job.

This complaint seems weapon specific.
We're talking about the CRW-04 Scrambler Rifle.
